Landon Donovan who was born on March 1982 started his football youth career at IMG Soccer Academy in 1999. Later that year he signed a six year contract with Bayer Leverkusen of Germany. In 2000 he was named the U.S Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year.

After playing for West Ham from 2007 to 2008, Ljungberg's exit was speculated by many fans, with some rumors of him moving to LA Galaxy. 2010
Colorado Rapids won the 15th edition of MLS Cup in 2010. The championship was played in Canada, on November 2010. Colorado Rapids defeated FC Dallas 2-1 on an own goal during extra time after George John of FC Dallas deflected a shot by Macoumba Kandji of Colorado. This was the first time the championship was being played outside the U.S, and the first time that the Colorado Rapids won the cup.

RFK Stadium which stands for Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium is the home ground for D.C. United. This stadium was opened in 1961 as the District of Columbia Stadium, but was renamed in 1969 for U.S Senator and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy. Kennedy had been assassinated in the previous year in Los Angeles.
