Fulham
Junichi Inamoto started his senior football career at Gamba Osaka in 1997. In 2001 he was signed by Arsenal, although he did not play any match there. After his good performance in the 2002 world cup, Fulham signed him on a long term loan deal from Gamba Osaka. In 2004 he signed with West Bromwich Albion and was later loaned to Cardiff City. Inamoto who currently plays for Kawasaki Frontale has also played for Galatasaray, Eintracht Frankfurt and Rennes after leaving West Bromwich Albion.

Japan, which is one of the most successful teams in Asia, won the 2011 Asian Football Confederation team of the year. Japan won the cup by defeating Australia 1-0, the goal was scored by Tadanari Lee. The win meant that Japan earned a right to compete in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, to represent Asian Football Confederation.

Park Ji-Sung
During the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, South Korean national football team was captained by Park Ji-Sung. Park was a member of the team that finished in fourth place in 2002 World cup. Park who currently plays for Manchester United captained South Korea for the first time in October 2008. He helped his national team to qualify for the 2010 world cup without a defeat. On June 12, 2010 Park scored in his third consecutive world cup, becoming the first Asian footballer to score in 3 World Cup finals. In addition to that he also became Asia's joint all time scorer in FIFA World Cup with 3 goals.
